Thirteen wickets fell on the opening day of the third Ashes 2023 Test between England and Australia at Headingley Test on Thursday, July 6 as bowlers had a field day. England pacer Mark Wood, making a comeback to the playing eleven, literally breathed fire, claiming 5/34 in 11.4 overs as Australia were bowled out for 263 in 60.4 overs after being asked to bat.
